Farnham is a town in the county of Surrey, England. It is situated 42 miles southwest of London in the extreme west of Surrey, adjacent to Hampshire boarder. Farnham is an ancient town, remains of Roman, Saxon and Stone Age dwellings have been found within its boundaries.
In more recent centuries it became notable as a market town of particular architectural charm with its Georgian buildings crowned by a 12th century castle overlooking the tight cluster of shops and houses in the river valley below.
A short distance southeast of the town centre are the ruins of Waverley Abbey, Moor Park House and Mother Ludlam's Cave
